I'm badly in need of a current head shot to post to Linked-IN and the like. My friend Paul came over Saturday to take some photos. I scraped off my beard in support of a corporate look--like my mommy says I should, anyway. Suffice it to say, not only did I feel naked as a shaved cat, but Paul's very good digital SLR captured me in all my...uhm...detail. That chin I've always said I don't have really isn't there! Bless Paul who says we can try it all again when my fur grows back, which I'll definitely be keeping. My poor hard drive is now home to a tremendous number of yukky me images. Desperately fancying the kind of soft focus treatment favored by aging movie stars, I decided to play with some Photoshop filters for the first time in years. I daresay soft focus wasn't kind enough to me and I eventually came up with a Franken-recipe of filter applications to produce the look shown here. It's obviously not photo realistic, but there's something about it I like.
Sharing a sampling of this most excellent book I was discussing with friends just last week.
